Bösl Medizintechnik sets up ergonomic assembly workstations
Best practice: Bösl Medizintechnik in Aachen
Bösl Medizintechnik manufactures devices for intermittent pneumatic compression (IPC). The company purchased a total of 20 tables from the OTTOKIND multi4motion series through its dealer Scheins Eurofer.
Simply explained: people with venous and lymphatic disorders need aids to promote blood and lymph flow. One technical aid for compression therapy is known as intermittent pneumatic compression (IPC). In Aachen, the company Bösl Medizintechnik GmbH manufactures such IPC systems, which have a decongestive effect due to their physical principle of action.
Over the past two decades, the assembly of the appliances at the previous location had not been ergonomically optimal. The Bösl employees worked at different tables, some of them at desks. None of the old desks were height-adjustable or optimized for the body. As part of the move to the new location, Bösl wanted 17 standardized, ergonomic tables with ESD protection for the assembly of very sensitive components. Two further tables were to have a special width and one table was to serve as an administration table.

The multi4motion was suggested to Bösl via the dealer Scheins Eurofer. The individual configuration includes an energy bar that can be fed in via a distributor. Each table also has a swivel arm with three rails for storage boxes. A bottle holder was also required at each table. As a socket cube is suspended from the ceiling, each table only needed a single plug for power and earthing.
Bösl was able to see what the multi4motion looks like, what its functionalities are and how it can be individually configured at Scheins Eurofer in Aachen. OTTOKIND also created a visualization of the various tables.
Scheins Eurofer employees visited the customer Bösl on site, provided advice and took measurements. Once the tables had been produced, they were pre-assembled and delivered in Gummersbach. Accessories and superstructure parts were assembled by an external fitter in Aachen.
Well used – stable – functional – fits. This is the satisfied feedback from the customer Bösl to the dealer Scheins Eurofer. And because the OTTOKIND products build on each other perfectly, Bösl has ordered five more accessory trolleys.
